Nambucca Valley Christian Community School will soon benefit from a new $2 million multipurpose hall thanks to a nationwide grants program run by the Coalition Government.
Nationals Member for Cowper, Luke Hartsuyker, today announced that Nambucca Valley Christian Community School would receive $1 million through the Capital Grants Program.
“This funding will contribute to the construction of a multipurpose hall with an added learning area for performing arts,” Mr Hartsuyker said.
“The Nambucca Valley Christian Community School has grown rapidly in recent years from humble beginnings.
“The school community will be contributing $1 million towards the cost of this project, which is no small achievement.
“I want to congratulate everyone at the Nambucca Valley Christian Community School involved in this project. It truly is a testament to your strong school spirit.
“While buildings alone do not make a school, students and the whole local community will benefit from using these new facilities.
“This is part of our commitment to ensuring students have the support they need to succeed in the classroom.”
Minister for Education and Training Simon Birmingham said in addition to initiatives like the Capital Grants Program, the Turnbull Government was also delivering a new funding system and $25.3 billion boost to ensure every student gets the resources they need.
“Our plan is about giving all Australian schools a fair go and wiping away the 27 special deals Labor signed up that distorted the way funding was distributed.
Capital grants are additional to funds provided by state and territory governments, non-government school authorities, and school communities, which are responsible for providing and maintaining non-government school facilities.
