Country Energy to sponsor Luke’s fundraising bike ride for Disabled Surfers Association

The campaign to raise funds for the Mid North Coast Disabled Surfers Association has received a welcome boost with the financial support of Country Energy.

 

Country Energy has agreed to sponsor a bike ride through the Federal electorate of Cowper by Member of Parliament Luke Hartsuyker.

 

Mr Hartsuyker will commence his ride through the electorate next Monday and will spend three days riding from Maclean to Kempsey.

 

He will pass through Coffs Harbour, the Bellingen and Nambucca shires before visiting South West Rocks and finishing outside the Kempsey Council Chambers.

 

Mr Hartsuyker said with Bananacoast Credit Union being the major sponsor of the ride it was great to have the support of other corporations based on the North Coast.

 

“All the funds raised from bike ride will go directly to the Disabled Surfers Association.

 

“They are a great organisation which provides an opportunity for disabled people to enjoy the fun of the surf.

 

“Such activity is not only physically beneficial but it has the capacity to improve an individual’s confidence.

 

“I am aiming to raise some much needed funds so the association can continue to expand their open day programme.”

 

Mr Hartsuyker said anyone who wished to make a donation to the association should send cheques to his office at PO Box 2056, Coffs Harbour.
