Local Sporting Champions (LSC) Program
Specifically, individuals who are successful applications will received a $500 grant while teams receive $3000.
The LSC Program is open to all young people between 12 and 18 years of age who have to travel a return trip of over 250 kilometres to compete in a National Sporting Organisation endorsed state or national title or national school sport competition.
As Member for Cowper, I am putting together a committee of dedicated sports enthusiasts from all areas of the electorate to join me on a panel set up to scrutinize applications from our area. This panel will eventually name two teams and 13 individuals as successful recipients of grants.
What’s more the panel will continue to revue applications on a quarterly basis so there is no cut off date for applications. What are you waiting for?
