Mid North Coast families and businesses will benefit from a user-friendly website that provides interactive access to information and data on local aged care services and usage.
Nationals Member for Cowper Luke Hartsuyker says the unique GEN site breaks down details of each of the 73 aged care zones across Australia.
“The Turnbull Government is committed to making life easier for older Australians, local businesses and community organisations,” said Mr Hartsuyker.
“Whether you’re an individual or a family looking for aged care information, or a company looking to develop care services, GEN is a new-generation internet tool.
“It will also benefit students, researchers and local governments, in fact, anyone or any group needing aged care data.”
Mr Hartsuyker said Cowper residents would appreciate the clear language and easy to understand infographics, which can be customised to individual needs.
The GEN website was created using extensive databases, including ABS and census data, collected from regional and metropolitan centres.
“This is an easy to use website that I believe people will find useful,” said Mr Hartsuyker.
“It is a credit to the designers and those that worked behind the scenes to gather the information and data that sits on this innovative tool. This is the first time we have a central database, that will prove immensely useful for people across the Mid North Coast.
“If you can’t find the information you need, there is also a simple function to request extra detail.”
